As the Federal Government intensifies
efforts to address Nigeria's evolving security challenges, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has called on newly inducted soldiers to remain vigilant and combat-ready.
Speaking at the Passing Out Parade of 6,195 soldiers from the 88 Regular Recruits Intake at the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria, Kaduna State, General Oluyede emphasized the crucial role these recruits will play in the ongoing fight against terrorism and insurgency.
He underscored the values of courage, professionalism, and resilience, urging the soldiers to uphold the core principles of the Nigerian Army.
“The life of a soldier is built on sacrifice and patriotism,” Oluyede said. “The Nigerian Army is a professional institution entrusted with safeguarding the autonomy and unity of our great nation.”
Reassuring the new recruits, the Army Chief affirmed that their welfare remains a top priority under his leadership.
He also revealed that preparations for the 89 Regular Recruits Intake are well underway. “Take a well-deserved rest,” he advised, “and get ready to welcome the next set of recruits. The Army Headquarters remains committed to supporting your tr
aining and operational goals.”
